Jetson Ora Pro is e-scooter sophistication at its finest. Swift, sleek, and streamlined, its push-button control makes riding a cinch. Once you’ve become acquainted with that functionality, you can let your thumbs do the work—so you can focus every bit of your attention on the journey.
The power button
The power button, atop the thumb throttle on the right handlebar, does exactly what you’d expect it to do: When you hold it down for three seconds, it will turn your Ora Pro on and off.
This button is one multifunctional little mechanism, though—you can use it to do other things, including:
-
Changing speed modes - The Ora Pro has two speed modes, catering to times when you want to take it slow and steady—and those when you want to be on the fast track.
Speed 1 will allow you to reach speeds of up to 7.5 miles per hour (mph).
Speed 2 lets you double the distance you can ride in the same amount of time: up to 15.5 mph.
The top of your Ora Pro’s LED screen will show either a “1” or a “2” to indicate which speed mode the scooter is currently set at. To toggle between those two modes, quick-press and release the power button just once.
-
Turning on the headlight – Dusk, dawn—whenever you need a little extra visibility—turn on the scooter’s headlight. You can do that by quick-pressing and releasing the power button two times in a row. Want to turn the headlight off? Press that power button twice again.
-
Converting to kilometers per hour – Your LED screen will display your speed in miles per hour (mph); but if kilometers per hour (kpmh) is the pace measurement you’d prefer, quick-press and release the power button three times in a row. You’ll see the change reflected on the bottom of the LED screen.
If you’re the kilo kind of rider, make note: You can ride at speeds of up to 12 kmph when the scooter is set in Speed Mode 1 and up to about 25 kmph when it’s in Speed Mode 2.
- Unlocking the scooter – If you see a lock icon on your screen when you turn your Ora Pro on for the first time, you can unlock it by quick-pressing the power button nine times in a row. The lock icon on the screen should disappear. Power your scooter on and then off—and you should be all set to ride. (Problems unlocking? Contact us.)
The brake and accelerator thumb throttles
These are the levers on the handlebars to the left and right side of the center LED screen. The left lever is the brake, and the right one is the accelerator.
That gives you total control over speed management—but should you find a pace that you’d like to stay at for awhile, just hold that pace steady for six seconds. After that, cruise control will activate and your scooter will stay at that speed on its own—until you press either thumb throttle to deactivate cruise control and take back speed control.
