Adding additional product protection is a smart move.
All new Jetson products come with a warranty that covers any defects and malfunctions that might arise unexpectedly when the product is used properly and in accordance with its user manual. (No additional purchase is required; it's included!) Dependent on the product, that warranty coverage will be anywhere from 90 days to 1 year from the date of purchase, and approved claims during that period will be met with a free replacement.
You won't want to stop adventuring on your Jetson any time soon, though—so it's a good idea to be proactive and purchase additional protection for it. You can extend the timeframe of coverage—and also get coverage in case of accidental damage—by purchasing Extend Product Protection through our partner, Extend.

What you'll get
Like our included manufacturer's warranty, Extend Product Protection begins right away. You can purchase coverage for 1, 2, or 3 years.
What's included depends on the Jetson product that you're purchasing and the length of the Extend plan you choose.
1. For all products and plans: Accidental Damage Protection
Buying Extend Product Protection—for any length of time, and for any Jetson —gives you Accidental Damage Protection for the duration of the plan. That means you'll be covered against "uh-ohs"—things like damage from drops or impact, plus rips, stains, and more. Should an "uh-oh" happen, approved claims result in repair, a replacement part, or a replacement product.
Note: Accidental Damage Protection was incorporated into Extend's coverage beginning May 2023; Extended warranty packages purchased for Jetson products prior to May 2023 do not include Accidental Damage Protection.
2. For some products and plans: Extended Protection, too.
Our included warranty coverage—against defects and malfunctions related only to manufacturing—ranges in duration from 90 days to 1 year, depending on the product. The length of coverage for a product can be found in our warranty. (Assistance navigating it can also be found in this Help Center article.)
Extend Product Protection runs concurrently with our manufacturer's warranty. For Jetson products with manufacturer's warranties of 1 year or less, any of the Extend Product Protection durations available—1, 2, or 3 years—will offer continued mechanical and electrical failure protection. For example, if you purchase a product that comes with a 6-month manufacturer's warranty and add on 1-year of Extend Product Protection for it, you are not only enhancing your product protection with 1 full year of Accidental Damage Protection (against drops, rips, etc.)—but also getting an extra 6 months of protection against mechanical or electrical failure. You'll extend that coverage even more if you purchase 2 or 3 years of Extend Product Protection.
However, if you purchase a product with a 1-year manufacturer's warranty and Extend Product Protection for 1 year, you are just adding Accidental Damage Protection for that year. To extend coverage against mechanical or electrical failure beyond that year, you will have to purchase 2 or 3 years of Extend Product Protection.
Filing and processing claims
If a product defect or malfunction related to manufacturing arises while your product is still covered under our included manufacturer's warranty—regardless of whether or not you've purchased Extend Product Protection: Reach out directly to us. Should all warranty conditions be met, you will receive a replacement part or replacement product, depending on claim details.
If a product defect or malfunction related to manufacturing arises after our manufacturer's warranty has expired but when the Extend Product Protection that you've purchased is still in effect: File claims directly through Extend. Approved claims will result in the delivery of a gift card that can be used to purchase a replacement on RideJetson.com.
If you have purchased Extend Product Protection and you experience accidental damage (those "uh-oh moments) at any point during your plan:File claims directly through Extend. Approved claims will result in the delivery of a gift card that can be used to purchase a replacement on RideJetson.com.
Answers to frequently asked questions
- You cannot add additional years to an already purchased plan. You’ll have to decide up front how many years of coverage you want to lock in. Once you purchase the Extend Product Protection, it can’t be renewed or extended again.
- Not everything is eligible for an Extend plan. Remanufactured products, parts and accessories, and Triple Eight products that are purchased on RideJetson.com are not eligible for Extend Product Protection.
- Plans can be canceled within 60 days of purchase. You can cancel within 60 days of purchase for a full refund, less any paid claims (if any). After that, Extend may refund you a prorated refund less any paid claims (if any).
- Plans are transferrable to the gift recipient if your Jetson was purchased as a gift. However, Extend Product Protection is not transferrable to other Jetson products OR to any replacement product that you might receive through an approved claim.
